Ironclad Gameplay
Game Day Details
Registration will begin ninety minutes before warmups. Please arrive as early as possible to get jerseys, and socks.
Team Pictures will be taken at the end of the game in this order:
First place team, Second place team, Third place team, and 4th place team. Followed by a picture of everyone, including support staff.
Postgame Tailgate Beer will be provided for participants. Please invite your fans to come to hang out too! If you know someone, please let us know at info@mchlinc.com.
ROSTERS
We limit each team to 7 skaters on each bench. This restriction ensures that teams are not too crowded, which in turn guarantees ample ice time for everyone. Please note that we retain the option to supplement your team with players if needed.
ICE TIME
There will be a single 3 minute warmup for all teams at once.
Upon confirmation from the Hurricanes on how much time they will allow us. We will share a schedule and how many games will be played.
Upon completion of the seeing games the battles begin!
PLAYOFF / CHAMPIONSHIP
3rd and 4th place teams will compete for 3rd place.
1st and 2nd place teams will compete for the championship.
INTERMISSION
After each game there will be 30-second intermission breaks. We ask that you exit the ice with purpose to ensure we have time to complete the games and pictures.
We make every effort to stay on schedule for our allotted slot and account for potential shootouts.
Icing
- We use a modified icing. Intential icing will be called, however, a missed stretch pass will not be called. We encourage goalies to play the puck and keep the game moving.
pENALTIES
Each penalty consists of a 1:30 penalty for a minor and 3 for a major. 2 majors in a session will result in expulsion for the remainder of that session. The offending team will have the player who made the infraction in the box and a player down for the duration of that penalty.
Fighting is an automatic expulsion, subject to being banned from future events.
Ties
- In the event of a tie 5 shooters from each team will line up at the blue line on both sides. Once instructed one player after the other will take their turn in a shootout. Players may leave the blue line as soon as the puck leaves the shooters stick in their attempt. Please watch this instructional video on how it works. There will only be one round of shootouts for the first set of games. The final game may have more than one but no repeat shooters.
